“It’s gon’ take a lot longer to heal if you pickin’ the scab.”
Â
Don’t rush the process.
Â
Sometimes we’re hurt by our past or anticipate the future to our detriment. You can’t wait to overcome what hurts you or surpass the purgatory between you and your goals. It is important to remember that time is the biggest ingredient in any recipe in our life. BabyTron advises you to let time do its work in whatever you seek.
Â
BabyTron has been making music for a few years, evolving over time. There were surely some points in BabyTron’s career so far that have made him want to give up. I’m positive there were times that he questioned why he hadn’t blown up yet. The old adage of “time will tell” proved itself true because BabyTron continued to improve his craft, and now he is reaping the reward of that time he invested.
Â
A scab means we’ve been damaged, so to speak. Something has pierced the skin, and now it is trying to heal. The skin will form itself back together more cohesively if we leave it alone. But picking the scab is still like a satisfying itch.
Â
Picture a mosquito bite, the less you scratch it, the quicker it’ll heal, and the irritation will disappear. However, there is instant satisfaction in scratching the mosquito bite.
Â
That is oftentimes how we treat a lot of pain in our lives by constantly keeping that wound alive by aggravating it with our fingers. In this case, our fingers are the mind, aggravating our wounded memory. And so, for these wounds to heal, we have to allow the wound to take its natural course of healing.

Prescription for healing the body: Take medicine, get sunlight, rest, and give it time.
Prescription for healing the mind: Connect with loved ones, connect with yourself, continue creating, and give it time.
Â
With this BabyTron bar, I initially wanted to speak about healing from pain and the process that comes with that. But thinking about it further, the point of this bar is really about rushing any growth process. Growing doesn’t have to be from pain. Growing in itself can be painful, but it can also be fruitful and enjoyable. We can apply this idea of allowing a scab the time and space to heal to really any goal or healing process we are going through.

Â
We can’t go from Point A to Point B without traversing that distance in the middle. Often when we start a new project, a new song, a new job, or a new relationship, we want to go from A-to-Z without first getting through BCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTVWX and Y. We want to take an express line to Z, skipping past the growth process.

On the doorstep of your next journey, allow yourself the time to heal, grow, and improve.
