The Fig Tree
The seeds we sow today will grow over time and we shouldn’t be surprised at the fruit that comes to bear.
Kodak Black frequently talks about his lifestyle and the commitment that comes with it. There are times where he will acknowledge that some of his behavior is irrational, but it is derived from a lifetime of reinforcement by his circumstances and those he looked up to. Whether Kodak is influenced by specific people, culture, or circumstance, all of these sources of influence combined to plant a seed that grew to be Kodak Black.
This isn’t a phenomenon exclusive to Kodak. You and I are products of the circumstances that we grew into. Our personalities are formed by our influences, then over time, begin to evolve along with our experiences.
We can’t blame nature for taking its course.
Humans are emotional creatures, in varying degrees, so it shouldn’t be a surprise when we are driven by emotion for most of our lives.
When judging the actions of ourselves and others, we often forget that emotion is likely the driving force behind it all.
Without emotion there’s no fun in life. However, when we live without control of our own emotions, we often make decisions that hurt ourselves or others.
Under emotion, without logic, we can justify anything. Harming someone else or ourselves becomes easier because the emotion needs to be satisfied.
Humans are emotional creatures and make irrational decisions all the time. In our many experiences with other people, we are encountering the version of themselves that is under the influence of some emotion.
So, when you’re looking back at times you felt personally attacked by someone, or times you regret your own decisions, remember; these mistakes are largely times where the person was led by emotion, which is natural as a human being. Mistakes happen.
You wouldn’t be surprised if the fig tree sprouted figs.
